Vol. 29 No. 2 (2025): APRIL-JUNE

This issue includes fifteen articles related to the province's socioeconomic development and presents research results on agricultural activity in the region, seeking to meet social demands. It explores the design of strategies to improve and strengthen the actions of all stakeholders in the agricultural sector in the face of changing environmental conditions. Studies are presented on poorly conserved areas, and silvicultural actions aimed at restoring forest fragments to protect biodiversity are proposed. Phytosanitary practices with an agroecological approach are recommended to reduce the incidence of pests affecting crops and thus improve the quality of plant health in the regions. From an educational perspective, a multimedia presentation is presented to educate on the importance of lichens and their sustainable use in the management and control of cacao diseases. A study was conducted on the care and preservation of songbirds that are illegally captured and traded. Furthermore, the potential of flora in natural ecosystems of the Nipe-Sagua-Baracoa mountain range was identified.
