Abstract

The work belongs to the project of the OXFAM Belgium organization  and was designed to intervene 17 cooperatives in three municipalities of the Guantánamo and Santiago de Cuba provinces. The methodology of Gelfius (2004) was applied, the diagnosis yielded all the existing information on the main edaphoclimatic characteristics of the municipalities and characterized each form of production attending to different variables on the productive antecedents, economic income, benefited population and existing resources, allowing to obtain a baseline and the definition of the main resources to be acquired for the transformation of production scenarios towards agroecology, in addition to training needs. Four stages of work were planned with their results and indicators and 21 general activities that will serve as the basis for the preparation of the Annual Operational Plans. From the economic point of view, the results of the financial analysis demonstrate the feasibility in the execution of the work.
