Abstract

With the degradation of natural resources, in this case soil, water and biodiversity, farmers have lost the ability to adapt to current environmental and economic conditions; hence the need to protect ecosystems and rescue practices such as pollination, the suppression of pests, carbon fixation, regulation of nutrient cycles, among others. The objective of the work was the implementation of agroecological practices in areas of the CCS "Luis A. Carbó", which were implemented in 11.5ha of the four farms studied, including the live barrier, dead barrier, infiltration trench, compost, cover with rest of harvests, uses of green fertilizers, insertion of crops or polycultures, among others. The application of such practices favors the conservation of natural resources because it optimizes the recycling of nutrients, makes efficient use of water, soil, animals and increases crop yields.
