The in vitro activity against Meloidogyne nematodes of extracts from four euphorbiaceae species, present in natural agroecosystems of the Nipe Sagua Baracoa mountainous area was studied. To carry out the bioassays, second-stage juveniles (J2) of a population of Meloidogyne spp isolated from infested soils from coffee plantations were used, which were tested with the extracts of Phyllanthus acidus, L., Euphorbia heterophylla, L., Hura crepitans, L. and Jatropha urens, L. in 24 - well plates. After 24 hours the dead larvae were counted in each well, with mortality higher than 50% when applying the extracts of all the species except the P. acidus extract. The highest mortality was observed when applying the extract of J. urens.Downloads
