Abstract

With the objective of evaluating the response of T. cacao seedlings to the application of Vigortem® in “La Biofabrica” nursery conditions, in the municipality of El Salvador, a trial was developed in the period from March 2022 to October 2023. T. cacao seeds were used, and at the time of sowing they were sprayed with the Vigortem® soil conditioner. Four treatments were used that were replicated five times in a completely randomized design. Height (cm), number of leaves (U), stem diameter (mm), fresh and dry leaf mass were evaluated and the slenderness index, the stem/root ratio and the Dickson quality index were determined. It was obtained that the application of Vigortem® was decisive in the growth and vigor of the T. cacao postures, represented in the best values for the physiological variables evaluated and the quality indices.
