Abstract

A descriptive study was carried out to characterize the behavior of cerebrovascular diseases and the population at risk of suffering from the Yateras municipality belonging to the Turquino plan of the Guantánamo province during 2017. For the realization of this work different actions were carried out: Distribution of the population and patients with sequelae and cerebrovascular disease according to sex, age, with this disease from the dispensing, analysis of the behavior of risk factors for cerebrovascular disease in the population of Yateras and the results of the main indicators of the turquino plan For this, qualitative, observational research and documentary review methods were used. Prevalence of cerebrovascular disease is shown in men and the population over 65 years. The factors for cerebrovascular disease found in the population of the municipality are high blood pressure and smoking.
