Abstract

The present investigation it developed in the San Juan community from El Salvador municipality, Guantánamo province, with farmers integrated to Cooperative of Credits and Services (CCS) Luis A. Carbó. With the objective of determining Agroecosystems Sustainability General Index, was carried out a non-experimental investigation under the principles of Investigation-Action-Participation, for which were used the observation technique, questionnaire and interview with keys informants.  It was determined that there is not existence of sustainability in the studied agroecosystems and among the main problems are: function of the CCS, the attention to the farmers by responsible institutions, training, scientific-technical services and the employment from sustainable agriculture. An action plan is implemented to the work with the farmers of participative form.
