Response of Theobroma cacao L seedlings with the use of Glomus cubense and the CTA-Humus® soil conditioner

Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L) constitutes one of the exportable agricultural items for various countries, it is cultivated in hot and humid regions in more than 50 countries located on four continents (Africa, America, Asia and Oceania), making it a crop of great economic, social, environmental and, particularly, cultural importance for the territories where it is produced (Arvelo et al., 2017; García, 2018; Corrales and Maldonado, 2019; Ramírez-Chamorro et al., 2020). Its cultivation in Cuba is mainly concentrated in the eastern region, characterized by friable soils and high annual rainfall between 1700 -2500 mm (Suarez et al., 2013). 68% of the plantations and 80% of the country's production is located in the municipality of Baracoa, in the province of Guantánamo.
