Community agroecological education in mountain ecosystem

Abstract

The results of a participatory research focused on the search for ways to promote community agroecological education in the mountainous ecosystem are revealed. The theoretical results made possible to specify the insufficient mastery of educational procedures to carry out this action in practice, taking into consideration the specific characteristics and conditions of the mountain community. This situation has a negative impact on the elementary school, the peasant sector and the Center for the Mountain Development.  Consequently, the theoretical and practical foundations which guide the realization of the strategy mentioned above through actions and the pedagogical instrumentation are offered. This was evaluated by the consulted experts as adequate. The expert criteria, socialization workshops and pre-experiment results showed the applicability and effectiveness of the proposal.
