Abstract

With the objective of evaluating efficient microorganisms (Valley 1) and Vitafer probiotic as alternative additives in swine pre-fattening and controlling enteric disorders, the present experiment was carried out, where 30 little pigs of the Yorkshire x Landrace Hybrid were used, with an average weight of 6 kg. During 42 days, coinciding between 33 to 76 days of age, according to a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 10 repetitions, each animal constituted one repetition. The incidence of diarrhea was relatively low in the animals that consumed Vitafer probiotic and efficient microorganisms, these products stimulated the final live weight, weight gain, average daily gain and conversion compared to the control group that did not receive biopreparations. In fact, the use of the probiotic Vitafer and efficient Microorganisms in pigs in the preceding category significantly improves the productive indicators of the animals, while reducing the occurrences of diarrhea and possible deaths.
