Abstract

The mainstreaming of the environmental dimension in the integrated management of local development projects is an unavoidable requirement that must be aimed at protecting the planet's natural resources and climate for future generations in alignment with sustainable development. The objective of this article is to induce an integrated management approach for local development projects through a set of interconnected activities that allow the coordination, planning, organization and control of the global situation to achieve the desired changes and their sustainability over time. The result is a set of activities leading to synergistic management that encompasses the heterogeneity of actors and actions where the environmental component is present as a pillar of development. The conclusions recognize the convenience of the study carried out, which is favorable to induce the integrated management of local development projects, as well as its possibility of immediate application and generalization.
