Abstract

El Salvador shows low yields in the production of bean, which does not satisfy the requests of the population. So this research is designed in Limonar de Monte Ruz Popular Council where bean varieties were evaluated in areas of Juan Díaz's farm, during 2017-2018. Aimed at solving this problem, this research was designed to study different varieties and select the best productive responses under edaphoclimatic conditions of the municipality. Seven selected varieties were studied in different germplasm banks and the relevant evaluations were made: number of grains / pods (u), number of pods / plants (u), weight of 100 grains (g) and yield (t.ha-1). The variety 2 shows significant results when compared with the others, although it is pointed out that these ones are resistant to the adversities of the climate in mountainous conditions.
