Strengthening and creating capacities for the productive link of coconut and cocoa.

Abstract

The University of Guantánamo, accomplishing its social responsibility and trying to fulfill its tasks for the Conceptualization of the Economic and Social Cuban Plan of Socialist Development, and the National Plan of Economic and Social Development until 2030, and following the work tasks approved in the VII Congress of the Party, intervenes in the programs of development of the coconut and cocoa products in the municipality of Baracoa, as a member of a national multidisciplinary team for the strengthening of the agro-industries related to those cultures. This formative project has as objective to invigorate the programs of production of coconut, cocoa and the local development in the Baracoa municipality, located in the Guantánamo province, by strengthening and educating capacities. The project can be extensive to the local organizations to reinforce its competences and promote the integral development of the municipality and the county.
