Abstract

Is evaluated the role of information management in adaptation processes to climate change, its negative consequences and its impact on development policies and resource management in function of local sustainable development. The methods used to carry out this work and to be able to form a theory on the subject are fundamentally theoretical from modeling the behavior of information management in the processes of adaptation to climate change. Information is power, countries that do not have the capacity and resources to record weather patterns, forecast impacts and assess risks, will not be able to provide their citizens with good quality information nor will they be able to target public policies and investments aimed at reducing vulnerability.
