Abstract

Partial inventory of amphibians in towns of the Nipe-Sagua-Baracoa mountainous area, during January-December of 2013 to 2014. It was used the direct observation for time- restricted method and they were identified all of the individuals of amphibious that they were observed in each journey. Prospections were accomplished for a while fixing in advance to elaborate the species list of a stretch (presence/absence). Prospections on an area appointed came true in advance to know the relative abundance. The relative abundance was calculated as individual observed's number for prospected area. As a result of the investigation five species of amphibious Bullfrog (Rana cartabella), Banana frog (Osteopilus septentrionales), Toad (Bufo taladai), Tympanist toad (Bufo peltocephalus) and Eleutherodactylus auriculatus, were reported in towns of the municipalities Yateras, El Salvador and Pinares de Mayari.
