Preliminary diagnosis of the possibilities of using coconut water in Baracoa, Cuba

Abstract

The present work was been developed at Baracoa municipality, from January 2023 to March 2024, with the objective of diagnosing, in a preliminary form, the possibilities of use of the coconut water in Baracoa, Cuba. Was used an investigation not experimental, descriptive and transectional using the techniques of the questionnaire and analysis of contents. DAFO applied over himself besides the womb. The results demonstrated that at the municipality exists a low use of the by-products of the coconut palm, however, the coconut water is among the most demanded products. In addition, a staff exists conformed for producers, technicians, specialists, investigators and teachers at different entities of the province with expertise who could support the formation of capabilities for the production. The use of coconut water in industrial format would constitute a source of employment for women living in the municipality.
