Abstract

The work was developed in areas of the producer Armando Gainza Sánchez´s farm,  belonging to the CCS Fortalecida "Constantino Lores Alba", of Pozo Azul locality, Valle de Caujerí productive pole, San Antonio del Sur Municipality, on a fluffy brown soil with carbonates from April to June 2022, with the objective of evaluating the weed community through indices which identify the most important species, to plan management practices in order to facilitate changes in the control systems and preparation of practical actions for their management. As a result of the investigation, the presence of Portiulaca oleraceae L (purslane) and Eleucine Indica (chicken leg) is prolonged, which as a whole are part of the weeds that develop the most in this agro-productive zone. The management action plan proposes ecological actions to reduce the incidence of these weeds in the crops yields which develope in the studied area.
