Abstract

The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of three stumps of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on the plant Swietenia mahagoni L. Jacq growth and nutrition. The used stumps were Funneliformis mosseae, Rhizophagus intraradices and Glomus cubense. The substrate was conformed for cocoa husk/coconut fiber/pine sawdust in proportion 2:6:2. A completely randomized design with five repetitions was used. The dynamics of growth was evaluated for the variable height and diameter, parameters of the radical system, leaf area (LA), biomass of aerial (BA) and radical (BR), relation between (BA/BR), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (P). The statistical analysis showed significant differences for all the studied variables by effect of the treatments. The best response was obtained in those treatments mycorrhizal. It is concluded that the stumps mycorrhizal G. cubense and R. intraradices influenced positively in the plant growth and nutrition.
