Ecological aspects of the River Los Plátanos riverside forest
Abstract
With the objective to evaluate the ecological operation in Los Plátanos riverside forest, a floristic inventory was carried out from January to February, 2019, establishing 40 parcels of 500m2, measuring the arboreal species with more than 5cm diameter, identifying and evaluating 948 individuals represented in 24 species, 23 genres and 17 families. The forest was compared statistically according to wealth, composition, structure, diversity and abundance, proving high diversity, determining species with more value index of ecological importance. The families Combrataceae, Mimosaceae and Meliaceae demonstrated the higher representativeness in species and generous with free taxa for a 12%. The most important species are: Terminalia catappa, samanea saman, Jambosa vulgaris and Leucaena leucocephala, standing out as the most frequent and dominant. These species occupy the first places in the species wealth. The results of the analysis of canonical correspondence were globally significant (it traces = 0,586, F = 1,326, P = 0,0018).
