Abstract

Globally, the replacement of traditional energy sources with renewable energy ones is being promoted, for a more efficient use of energy resources as well as the environmental protection. In particular, it advocates the replacement of fossil fuels which are the most harmful because of their impact on the greenhouse gases emission, such as CO2, and it bets for the use of photovoltaic solar energy. This work aims to evaluate the emission of CO2 with respect to the generation of clean electric energy by the four photovoltaic solar parks of Santa Teresa. Among others, the novelty result was the detailed study of energy generation per month and its comparison with CO2 emissions.
