Abstract

Modern researches show that the improvement of population health in society is determined by the genetic influence, biological state, lifestyle, environment and the health services availability. Environmental changes provoked by man determine changes in the conditions and people life quality, and have an unfavorable impact on the health-disease process; that’s why, this work is aimed to identify how the environment influence in the elderly people health and lifestyle in fragile ecosystems. To fulfill the objective, it was necessary to carry out a bibliographic review of articles, magazines and thesis available in internet and INFOMED (specialized Cuban website for people working in health services). After this study it was possible to conclude that several environmental factors like chemical substances, noises and stress influence in the elderly people health.
