Abstract

The rapid growth of the human population and technological development subject the environment to an increasingly accelerated decline in the quality of it and its ability to sustain life. It is easy to appreciate that unforeseen changes are taking place in the atmosphere, the soils, the waters, the plants, the animals, and in the relationships between men and the elements of the environment. All this situation has made us think that it is necessary to take action to save the planet. Therefore, environmental education becomes an integral process, which plays an important role in teaching. The objective of this work is to offer improvement actions to improve the preparation of the professionals of the Guantanamo territory, in terms of the importance and care of the Environment, supported by different empirical and theoretical methods that contributed to arrive at a rigorously scientific foundation of the subject.
