Abstract

The investigation was carried out from September 2016 to June 2017 in the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC) "Lorenzo Boicet", belonging to Yateras Agroforestry Company, located in Arroyo Bueno, Yateras municipality, Guantanamo, with the objective of proposing a simplified management plan for the effective use of its areas of the same. A total of 37 circular plots of 500m2 were surveyed by random sampling, in which the diameter was determined at 1.30 and the height of all the trees greater than 5m in height, as well as the dasometric values of the area to know the current value of the forest. The area was organized into two lots and 19 stands, all categorized as water-protective forests and soils. Two forestry formations were identified: the semi deciduous forests on limestone soils (34.23%) with 13.27m3/ha and pine forests (65.77%) with 25,50m3/ha.
