Actions that minimize the effect of the dry periods in Manuel Tames.

Abstract

The investigation has been carried out at Manuel Tames municipality in the communities of Hector Infante, Manuel Tames and La Caridad de los Indios, from January to September 2015. The main objective is to evaluate the behavior of the principal meteorologic variables that influence on the development of the agronomical, forestal and the livestock branches when there is a period of heavy drought conditions lasting enough so that the absence of rains provokes a serious hydrological imbalance in the territory, thus influencing on the productive efficiency of the territory for the last 5 years. The final results demonstrate the negative climatological effects caused by the overpruning of trees, as well as other actions developed by men which impact the environmental health.
