Abstract

Due to the demands of Higher Education with the mission of accompanying local governments in terms of local development and considering the challenge that this generates in the training and improvement of the students of the Municipal University Center and under the imperative need to achieve a local sustainable development, to increase food production for both the population and the livestock, this work is developed with the objective of proposing control measures for the erosion and degradation of agricultural and forest soils, deforestation and desertification from the career Agronomy, that allows to develop the productive capacities from the environmental context of the municipality of Imías taking into account that it has specific edafoclimatic characteristics that integrate it in the most desert zone of the country. A set of measures are proposed that solve in great measure the problems that affect the soils in this municipality.
