Abstract

The work was developed in the period of January /2010 - December /2010, in four towns of the county Guantanamo, municipality El Salvador, with the objective of inventorying the potentialities of the melliferous flora of this town. In each parcel it was determined the species with melliferous potential and they identified starting from the vulgar name, scientific and the family. Starting from the obtained data was calculated the absolute Abundance, relative Abundance and absolute Frequency and relative Frequency of each species. The results showed the presence of 32 species of plants with melliferous potential in the worked area, the species of more absolute Abundance and relative Abundance were Cassia tora, Ficus religiosa L., Roystonea regia, Gliricidia sepium Jacq, while those that appeared with more absolute Frequency and relative Frequency were Guazuma ulmifolia Lam., Mangifera indica Lin. y la Roystonea regia Cassia tora.
