Abstract

They were determined non-woody forest products and its uses in the Ecological Reserve of Baitiquiri, in the period 2014-2015. To collect etnobotany information, a survey was applied to four communities where a total of 264 people were interviewed. Parameters of quantitative etnobotany were calculated and it was proven the existence of the species mentioned as non-woody forest products in the structure of the forest through a sampling, for that which settled down 30 transept of 100 x 10 m. They were identified a total of 59 species with traditional uses; only the 25.4% of the plants reported in the surveys are present in the structure of the forest. The mentioned species that presented the higher use value and level of significant use, they were the less abundant ones and of smaller Index of Value of Importance except for Agave americano L.
