Abstract

The research was conducted in the People's Council of the community Limonar located in the town of El Salvador, province of Guantánamo, in the period from May to December 2013, with the order to encourage the inhabitants of the studied for creating gardens of medicinal plants. The research was exploratory, descriptive and non-experimental design was used and transactional descriptive. The methodology used was based on the early - Participatory Action Research. Was achieved with research the implementation of three plant gardens or orchards 16 medicinal plant species were identified key plants used for different diseases were not located in these territories. The research served as practical tool for farmers, technicians, extension and anyone interested in the use of medicinal plants, which turn to socialize knowledge gained.
