Abstract

We conducted an operative bibliographical research in order to conform the theoretical basis of a thesis in Master of Infectious Diseases, focusing on the relationship among fragile agroecosystems affected by severe droughts and increasing of the transfer of food diseases, in terms of raising the level of knowledge of professionals and general public about this issue. They were studied different forms of expression, its relationship to the production, processing and distribution of food, as well as its current status in the region of Guantanamo. The health promotion activities proposals encourage, in the judgment of experts, to achieve integrity in the handling of food as well as raise the level of quality of life with a fragile agro-environmental management that enable a better existence in harmony with the environment.
