Abstract

Nutritional and economic effects evaluation of four alternative diets was the objetive of the present work. Three prepared from fresh fish offal, citric waste, soybean meal, wheat bran and melasses and fresh fish offal as a unique food in the ration. They were compared with comercial foods. A completely randomised experimental design was develop for Clarias gariepinus (mean weight 5,50+0,08 g) fed during 70 days. The alternative diets showed significantly higher growth (P<0,05), to control, besides better food conversion were obteined with comercial foods, by the moist of the alternative diets. The use of alternative subproducts permit to prepare dietas economicaly inexpensive in clarias feeding.
