Response of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) crop to the application of Vigortem®
Keywords:
VIGORTEM®; cassava; yield; rainfed; cloneAbstract
The objective was to evaluate different application frequencies of VIGORTEM® in the dryland cultivation of cassava clone "CMC-40." A trial was conducted during the 2022-2023 cold season using a randomized block design with four treatments and five replicates. Plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of marketable roots, root weight, yield, and an economic evaluation were also assessed. Based on the data obtained, an analysis of variance was performed, and means were compared using Duncan's test. It was found that applying three frequencies with a dose of 6 L ha-1 of VIGORTEM® is the most efficient for the CMC-40 cassava clone, achieving the highest yield and generating higher profits.
