Diagnostic of problematics and solution alternatives in sheep–goats production system in Manuel Tames municipality

Abstract

With the objective of proposing a strategy for the implementation of sustainable production systems in the sheep-goat development program in the Manuel Tames municipality, Guantánamo province, it was diagnosed the livestock farms in this territory to determine the main problems which limit the productive increases and exploitation of these species. The theoretical and empirical level methods were used. To solve the deficiencies found an action plan is proposed for each strategic line which contains local solution alternatives, with the use of endogenous and exogenous resources adjusted to the local characteristics and capabilities of the territory, and it is recommended to validate the proposed strategy. in the Council of Administration of the municipality, based on the premises that are attached in the thesis material.
