Environmental education and its impact in dangers, vulnerabilities and risks prevention at El Salvador Municipality

Abstract

This work addresses important considerations about environmental education and its impact on the prevention of dangers, vulnerabilities and risks in El Salvador Municipality with the aim of seeking new ways and alternatives which favor the development of systematic environmental education to raise awareness and transform modes of action, in the commitment of all individuals to the protection of the environment. A documentary study on the environmental policy stablished in the country was carried out, as well as the existence of word strategies designed to avoid natural disasters. That’s why, this work shows some considerations about the need of new criteria addressed to environmental education for danger prevention, vulnerabilities and risks in El Salvador Municipality.
