Abstract

The present study focusses its attention on the production of biogas and biofertilizers, from the effluents of biodigesters in agroenergetic farms, where food and energy are produced, in an integrated manner. The work was carried out with the objective of determining the properties of the effluents as organic fertilizer, as well as its feasibility for its application to crops. Based on these experiences, a digester with a total capacity of 36 m³ was built on the Tierra Brava farm in Guantánamo municipality. Biogas production has used in cooking human and animal food; as well as biofertilizers, used to improves oil fertility; they also allow the elimination of contamination caused by pig excreta in production scenarios, which generates a positive environmental impact. In this digestion it is possible to identify two types of products as fertilizers: the liquid biofertilizer called "biol" and the solid biofertilizer called biosol.
