Management of the Delegation and the Municipal Agricultural Company in the agricultural development of the municipality of El Salvador

Abstract

To evaluate the current state of the management of the Delegation and the Municipal Agricultural Company (EMA) in the agricultural development of the municipality of El Salvador, the principles of Participatory Action Research (DRP), were taken into account, based on the Participatory Rural Diagnosis, aimed at assessing agricultural processes. Legal documents that regulate agricultural activity and reports were used. The information was obtained from the interview with the specialists, the survey to producers and the observation. The results determined limitations that affect the accompaniment of producers: insufficient established crops whit low production; technical assistance and technological proposals do not meet the needs of producers.
