This study is aimed to search on the perception that some inhabitants from Alejandro de Humboldt Park communities have, regarding heavy rains, strong winds, and landslides. Information gathering instruments were applied to identify the different groups existing there by levels of perception and, to determine in a general way how the population knows about the danger scenarios that alter the ecosystems balance in the area above mentioned belonging to Guantanamo. As a result of the study, it was possible to determine that 56.4% of the population studied in the Jaguaní sub-basin shows a MEDIUM level of perception, Group II, which indicates that perception is insufficient yet, since actions persist which limit the awareness of these dangers.
