Abstract

The present work was carried out in areas dedicated to the production of cocoa belonging to the Agroforestry and Coconut Company of the Baracoa municipality, in two popular councils that stand out in the production of cocoa (Paso de Cuba and Jamal) in the period between October and December 2018. The samples were taken at a depth between 0 -30 cm, the chemical properties were evaluated according to pH, nitrogen content (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), % organic matter (% MO), soil organic carbon (SOC). These samples were analyzed in the Guantanamo provincial soil laboratory. The results showed acceptable values for the pH and low ones for the rest of the elements.
