Abstract

This work presents the results of the Institutional Project “Evaluation of the impact of the methodology for the development of the intellectual capital in Health services”, of the Guantanamo University of Medical Sciences. Through using methods of the empiric, theoretical and mathematic-statistic levels, primary information on health-care professionals prominence in the local development was obtained, its referent and theoretic foundations were systematized, as well as the scientific problem on how to contribute to its coherent preparation on local development, based on characterizing its currents status, and designing a system of actions for the intensive preparation of the health-care professionals as leading agents in local development of rural and mountainous communities of El Salvador and Imías municipalities, social innovation validated by pre-experiment and user criteria, which contributes to strategic local development till 2030 in Guantánamo.
