Abstract

It was evaluated the impact of the Service of Integrated Weed Control between 2005 and 2013. The work was developed in the five Managerial Units of Base of the Sugar Company Santiago de Cuba, analyzing the activities that characterize the service, among those that stand out the training, visits to the units producers, weed survey monitoring, assembly of the lots controls, products herbicides and recommended treatments, the areas applied with products of residual action, as well as the behavior of the threads. An increment of the activities was appreciated carried out by year and an invigoration of the service in the county, and they offer more effective and more rational recommendations, reaching a better control of the overgrowths and yields agricultural superiors in the units of the program Bayer CropScience with regard to the traditional technology.
