Abstract

Manuel Tames municipality is one of the most affected by drought in the country, so actions must be taken to achieve resilience to this phenomenon. "La Esperanza" farm was chosen for this study and participatory methods were applied in which training, innovation and protection of the environment were integrated and, at the same time, the integrated interrelation of various institutions was necessary. The main results indicate that good practices were achieved in different crops such as cassava, squash, okra, bean, banana and sweet potato, coordination for resilience management was improved and the incorporation of environmental issues was possible in the education system of Niceto Pérez Municipal University Center. The achievement of resilience to drought in “La Esperanza” farm was a complex process.
