Abstract

The work was carried out in productive areas of “Manuel Tames Credit and Services Cooperatives” from Quibiján, “8 de Octubre” and the Integral Forestry Farm from La Perrera, in Baracoa with the objective of carrying out the inventory of the fauna (amphibians, ants and beetles) of the productive areas already mentioned. As a result of the research, the inventory of amphibians showed a total of four species, ants with a total of four species and beetles with three species. In the case of amphibians, the banana frog (Osteopilus septentrionales) was the most abundant, mainly in areas planted with banana trees and on the river bank; concerning ants, the bibijagua (AttainsularisGuér) in areas of various crops and coffee plantations an in relation to beetles the most abundant species is Stenodonteschevrolati, G. mainly found in animal excretes and trunks in the putrefaction phase.
