Abstract

The study was aimed at verifying the answer of the pol percentage in juice to the application of different potassium doses, in seven long-term experiments, which belong to the experimental geographic network of the Sugar Cane Research Institute in Cuba (INICA). The investigation was carried out in different sugar cane productive locations, differentiated by types of soils, strains, precipitation and other edaphic factors. It was found response in only 11 harvests (8%) out of 140 developed and their behavior was erratic because it did not follow any response pattern regarding the strains, types of soil, precipitation during cane cycle or quantity of continuous harvests done to all treatments.
