Abstract

From 2015-2016 a work was carried out on the monitoring, management and control of fauna and flora as the main objective. The management was done in 99 hectares in Alejandro Humboldt National Park Conservation Department and 35.45 hectares in Hatibonico Ecological Reserve, from which 0.7 hectares with heavy infestation and 30.75 in a medium rank. 318 individuals were eliminated, out of them: 73 female adults, 124 male adults, 26 juvenile males and 59 juvenile females; regarding the flora, 34205 individuals of different species were eliminated. A total of 161.3m³ of wood was produced: 37m³for fuel wood, 49m³ for the management and control of soil erosion and 74.4m³for the production of vegetable charcoal. 231.04 MP was lodged for various concepts.
