Effectiveness of a mixture of oligogalacturonides in the multiplication of menta japonesa.

Abstract

This investigation was carried out at the Mountain Development Center, El Salvador, Guantanamo Province, from April to May 2014, with the objective of evaluating the application of a mixture of oligogalacturonides on the growth and development of the mint, a medicinal specie, under semi-controlled conditions. It was used a fully randomized design with three replicates by treatment. The treatments in different aqueous solutions of the product up to the concentrations of 10mg.L^-1 and 20mg.L^-1 were used in two forms: inhibition of the cuttings of the plant during 24 hours in solutions of the mixture of oligogalacturonidos up to the concentrations of 10mg.L^-1 and 20mg.L^-1, and aspersion. Distilled water was used as a control. Data were processed using simple classification variance analysis and the media were compared through the Tukey test to a 5% error probability.
