Influence of the race and period of the year on the porcine reproductions.

Abstract

The research was carried out at the UEB Cuba Sí # 3, belonging to Holguín's Porcine Enterprise, with the objective of evaluating the influence of the race and the year season on the drop of the generative porcine. To achieve this goal there were examined the race, the date and the causes of the drop or discard of the sow from 2013 to 2015. To develop the mathematical analysis the statistical package of InfoStat version 2008 was applied and there was also made an analysis of variance of simple classification, and where there  was a significant difference the Tukey's test of multiple ranks was applied, having the Yorkshire race better results in relation to the York – Lan taking into account the studied causes. During the rainy season there was a significant increase of discarded generative porcines in relation to the dry period, thus impacting the reproductive behaviour of this class.
