Abstract

In order to know the evolution of frequency of appearing of the predominant weeds in the Business Base Unit “Arquimides Colinaâ€, in the period 2011-2015, they were used the data acquired in the surveys of weeds accomplished yearly. The analysis of the results showed that there are eight species of common invasive weeds, among which, four were problems: Dichanthium annulatum (Pitilla Las Villas); Rottboellia cochinchinensis (Zancaraña); Ipomoea trifida (Bejuco aguinaldo) and Sorghum halepense (Don Carlos), which remained dominant throughout the years evaluated in all production units, with high occurrence frequency. The dynamics of the four weeds problems in the production units, showed a tendency to decrease in distribution frequency when comparing 2011 with 2015, which resulted in lower infestation rates.
