Evaluation of the physical aptitude of the earth in the popular town “Costa Ricaâ€, Guantanamo, Cuba.

The work was developed in brown soils carbonated Sialític, under a climate Aw (Tropical of Savanna). The physical aptitude of the earth was summarized in use qualities sustained by characteristics inherent to the same ones, according to Methodology FAO and defined by the method Delfhi for ten of the main agricultural cultivations of the territory. They conformed to space databases and of attributes supported in and using digital information of the National Map of Soils, it climbs 1:25 000. The prosecution of the obtained information threw two categories as a result: capable lands and non capable lands contained in three aptitude classes: A1, A2, and A3. This way, from the point of view of their potential use, 98, 72% of the lands of the town classifies as capable lands not very vulnerable and vulnerable for the agricultural practice and 1,28% non capable lands with high vulnerability grade.Downloads
