Analysis for Model of Prognosis of Production of Salt.

Abstract

In the present work a study is announced about the association between two meteorological variables and the extraction of salt in the Salt works “Frank País“ of the municipality of Caimanera, belonging to the Company of Salt of Guantanamo. The investigation went to the study of the fluctuations in the Gross Production of Salt according to the behavior of the variables: Evaporation and Precipitation in the area where the Saline are located. It was used a monthly and annual database (35 years) of Production of Salt, Precipitation and Evaporation of the company. This data were processed and was analyzed the tendency of Extraction of Salt during the period, it being demonstrated that the statistical analysis allows to establish a prognosis model for the production of salt that facilitates the decisions making that optimize the production, like evaluation of the effects of the climate change.
