Abstract

The present work was carried out with the objective evaluating the effect of the application of different soil: bovine manure proportions in the growth, development and yield of the tomato crops under the edaphoclimatics conditions of Ondjiva, Angola. This study was carried out using pots, where different soil: manure proportions were deposited to conform the evaluated treatments: Proportion 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 were compared with an absolute control (natural soil) and production control (chemical fertilization). During the investigation the plant phenology was evaluated; as well as, some variables in growth and yield. All the variables evaluated responded positively to the application of manure, with similar results, and in some cases superior at the treatments where mineral fertilizer was applied. In a general way, it was concluded that the application of bovine manure is a viable alternative in the agricultural productions systems of Cunene.
