Abstract

The non use of the Minimum Diameters of Cut is one of the main causes in the decrease of the yields of the sawed wood, this motivated to carry out this work with the objective of introducing results of Minimum Diameters of Cut for two species of economic value in natural forests of Manuel Tames starting from their characterization. In the inventory pilot from September to December of 2015, they got up parcels of 500 m2, through a random stratified sampling in two managerial units of silviculture base: Manuel Tames and Aqueduct. It was determined the size of the sample, occupation degree and the Minimum Diameters of Cut. The 70 parcels are representative and enough to reach the wanted precision. The species Samanea saman had a better natural regeneration that Cedrela odorata and the Minimum Diameters of Cut were of 63,4 cm for C. odorata and 55,5 cm for S. saman.
